I have a place in my heart for Build A Niche Store. That’s were I learned the basics of building websites. The forum members took me by the hand and got me through some tough times. From the simlest things like center text on a page. Really I was a total freaking idiot. Despite that I learned fast and now I have taken site building to a whole new level. And I can move between the beach and Colorado every 6 month’s.
Well it’s been a few years now and even knowing I have moved beyond BANS I still build sites using it.
Over the last few month’s it has been widely said that BANS is dead and the BANS foot print get degraded in Google among many other statements. Even a mentor of mine said BANS is dead.
Looks like the Build A Niche Store creators have heard these statements. The seem to be getting ready to put all the hub bub to bed. How you ask? By doing a guide.
In a email sent out by Adam and Kelvin the BANS builder they said that most users of the script are not using the proper model to build sites and that BANS is the only content management system of it’s kind. Their is no competition.
So to show people exactly how BANS is supposed to be used Kelvin and Adam are going to put out this guide. Supposedly it will take users step by step though the building process using many methods and then promoting the site. The guide should be launched in July 2009.
I for one love the bans script. I have gone from knowing nothing to making plenty of cash to follow my dreams.
If you have not tried BANS I highly recommend it. It doesn’t build sites for for it needs to be looked at as a tool. If used properly this toll can make you 100′s of 1000′s of dollars just like Kelvin and Adam say they have.
