No matter what circumstance have brought you to the Internet to make money BANS is a must have script. Literally Build A Niche Store Software has turned my life 180 degrees over a two year period.

I went from being a Ebay Seller importing from China and finding popular products to building affiliate sites and tripling my income and eliminating the hassles of being a seller by using bans.

With absolutely no experience with computers except writing a work proposal for my remodeling company I learned from the Internet itself. Every thing you need to make money online is right here. I know from selling on eBay for 6 years and very seriously for 3 years selling on eBay was going to be a thing of the past for most moderate sellers.

Over the last couple years I had to do more and more work for pennies. The customer service was killing me. I would be up at 6AM answering emails and explaining about products and the correct way to use them. Being in the Apple iPod and iPhone accessory category you can imagine the customer service I needed to perform.

I tried everything you can think of to simplify my eBay customer service. I made a blog with directions and even made movies and posted them to direct buyers in the use of my products. Next I made PDF’s and posted the link in my auctions, but I was still inundated with emails.

As I said I knew a change was needed. I began searching the Internet for ways to make money. First stop was Adsense. Google AdSense and a blogger blog. These site are relatively easy to put up and monetize, but a basic knowledge of SEO & SEM I did not have. You must market your blog, but know one told me that.

Next Stop was Websites in a box as we Webmasters call them. These are sites that come with everything you need including products. Most of these sites that have products that you actually take the money for and then ship through the service are costly and they still don’t get your site in the search engine index’s.

Most Web Site In A Box” are basically drop shippers that use you to sell their products. You find this out when you finally sell something and the service needs to find the product before they can approve the sale. ?

Then there was BANS. I kept seeing these ebay affiliate sites popping up all over. Like a fool I didnt sign up at the very beginning. I was skeptical of everything that said you can make money. After about 6 months of reading about BANS I found the post on the old eBay Partner Network about BANS. It was simple. A user asked if anyone ever used BANS? And who answered but my buddy Mark Hanson. His reply was “I use Build A Niche Store All The Time”. That was it I went to Marks blog and clicked on his bans link.

When I arrived at The BANS Site I knew zero about site building. I mean nothing! I didn’t have the fist clue of what a host was, or FTP (File Transfer Protocol). As a matter of fact I had to ask a twenty year old kid what FTP was.

So I bought BANS and went to town reading the manual, but it was like a foreign language to me. So off to the BANS Forum I went. It was tough. When you start something like building a Internet Empire it is kinda expected to have some knowledge of basic HTML and different code and scripts like PHP before asking questions.

My first post was a horror show for me. Not the other users! The BANS members where so helpful, but after 3 days and the longest thread in history Adam (BANS Developer) went into my host and fixed everything. Hence my first real website.

Unfortunately Adam had to do this 2 more times for me before I got a handle on FTP and loading websites onto a host. He did it though and with a “Thank You For Choosing BANS” at the end of every thread.

Now with about 2 years of BANS and the BANS Forum under my belt I can put up a site in 5 minutes and more complex sites in less than a day.

The Build A Niche Store Forum has to be one of the largest databases for website building on the Internet. The forum brought me from being a broken (bones) 40 something year old to a intermediate/advanced Webmaster fulfilling a life long dream. That dream being moving back to Colorado and skiing everyday for 6 months. 

The Build A Niche Store Forum changed my view of FOX News TV from a Lazyboy to this View of Beaver Creek from my deck. It’s lots of work, but isn’t the view worth it.
