Socializing on the Internet to promote your site is becoming one of the most important forms of marketing your site now. All the Guru’s are doing it and so are your friends, If you tell them!

When a webmaster becomes a authority on a subject other will follow. I know this sounds basic. But think of it like this. Would you rather be the guy selling the website in a box or the guy building the box. Once you become a authority online the followers will come.

A good way to get started is with Twitter. If you don’t know Twitter is a social blog type tool or whatever. You just Twit. Thats is. All the most successful marketer are doing it and theirs no need to be all that creative either. John Chow and Shoemoney are all twittering Sara Pallen Now.

OK lets Twitter with WordPress. Twitter tools is what we use around here . It’s fast and fairly easy. 1st go to the plug-in page. Download the plugin to your wordpress plug in folder. Then go to your FTP ( File Transfer Protocol) and download the file to your website wp-plugins directory. Then activate it in your wp-admin. The directions to configure Twitter Tools is right there. Don’t worry about duplicate content. Twitter tools takes care of it.

This is a easy plug in to implement, just be careful if its your 1st. Don’t enable all the capabilities at once. Start by only sending Twits out and putting the Twits in your sidebar in the sidebar file in wp-admin.design>theme editor.
